This role assists in scheduling, inventory control, staff supervision, and training while maintaining Subway brand standards, safety, and security. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in motivating the team and delivering a consistently positive guest experience.Company Perks: Competitive pay rate with a raise after 90 days, Daily Pay access, discounted gas, free drinks & food discounts, 401K, referral bonuses, & so much more!Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operational standardsPerform all duties of a Shift Manager as needed, including opening and closing proceduresSupervise food preparation and service to ensure quality, freshness, and adherence to Subway standardsSchedule, assign, and oversee work for a team of approximately 4–12 employeesMonitor staff performance, provide coaching and feedback, and assist with training and developmentParticipate in performance evaluations and make recommendations regarding promotions, transfers, or terminationsEnsure cleanliness and organization of all restaurant areas in accordance with the Subway Operations ManualAssist with inventory management, product ordering, and paperwork responsibilitiesHelp plan and execute special events, promotions, and marketing initiativesMaintain restaurant safety and security procedures at all timesComplete required University of Subway training and certificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:Strong leadership and team management skills.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Basic understanding of inventory management and scheduling.Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.Ability to follow company procedures and uphold operational standards.Dependable, motivated, and capable of taking initiative.Education and Experience:Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.Working environment and physical requirements:Must be 18 years or older to applyMust be able to stand during the entire work shift.Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.Travel: Must be able to travel up to 10%At-Will Employment: This position is at-will, which means that either the employee or the Company may terminate employment at any time, with or without advance notice, and with or without cause.EEO Statement: Refuel is an equal opportunity employment employer to all applicants and team members.
