Business Development Executive
The company is hiring a Business Development Executive to grow its Southwest Territory, with a strong preference for candidates based in Southern California or Arizona. This is a field-based sales role focused on new business development, territory growth, customer acquisition, and long-term market expansion.
This is an ideal role for a proven packaging sales professional who wants to join a stable, entrepreneurial, service-driven company with uncapped earnings potential and meaningful long-term upside.
As a Business Development Executive, you will identify target accounts, build pipeline, develop local partnerships, attend industry events, pursue new opportunities, negotiate pricing, close new business, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience. You'll work closely with sales leadership, marketing, operations, and customer service to grow revenue and strengthen the company's presence across the Southwest.
The Qualifications
- Direct packaging sales experience is required.
- Strong background in business development, territory growth, new customer acquisition, and outbound prospecting.
- Experience in industrial packaging, flexible packaging, food and beverage packaging, Pharma/Nutra packaging, packaging distribution, or closely adjacent packaging categories.
- Existing customer, vendor, or industry relationships in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, or the broader Southwest market strongly preferred
- Ability to build a territory independently without relying on inherited accounts.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer pain points, solve service or supply chain problems, and communicate business value.
- Experience with vendor management, pricing conversations, fulfillment, stocking, logistics, or value-added packaging services.
- Comfortable selling in the field, managing a large territory, attending customer meetings, and representing the company at industry events.
