Job Description
TITLE: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

SCHEDULE: Shift: Days: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
- Patient volume: ~210 visits/day

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ohio RN license required (compact or state license must be in-hand at submission)
- Minimum 2+ years of ER experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI
- Must be comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psychiatric holds, and pediatric emergency care

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and prioritize care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Offer emotional support and education to patients and families in crisis.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float required
- Weekend requirement: every other or every third weekend
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager/director
- RTO required with submission; former employees eligible after 6+ months away; current hospital employees are ineligible for traveler roles at this institution.
