Senior Accountant

A growing organization headquartered in the Columbia area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and expanding finance team. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a blend of operational accounting responsibilities, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional exposure within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the month-end close process Analyze financial statements and investigate variances across operational accounts Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages Support operational accounting activities including accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency Assist with audit support and provide documentation for external auditors Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required 2+ years of accounting experience required Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes Experience within a fast-paced or growing organization preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment Why Join Hybrid work schedule offering flexibility and work-life balance Growing company with strong leadership and career advancement opportunities Competitive compensation package including bonus potential and comprehensive benefits High-visibility role with exposure to leadership and operational teams Collaborative culture focused on professional development and continuous improvement Competitive salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 + bonus Employees are paid on a biweekly basis.
