Billing Representative II Location: West Norriton, PA | Hours: Mon‑Fri 7:00AM – 3:30PM Eastern | Schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote (within 1 hour travel time). Telecommute Location: must be within 1 hour travel time from an office. Job Overview: As a Billing Representative – Third Party, you will create a quality experience that impacts patients' financial well‑being. You will be an expert problem‑solver who quickly identifies, analyzes, and resolves issues in a fast‑paced environment. This is an opportunity to advance your career while supporting teams by reviewing and investigating claims. Bring your listening skills, emotional strength and attention to detail to ensure every claim receives a fair and thorough review. Key Responsibilities: Open and sort all incoming mail. Communicate with team members and leadership effectively. Print and mail out all third‑party and patient refund checks generated by team members, with documentation saved in the refund database. Document all return‑mail information including bill numbers and post bad address denials to claims. Process changes to bill from Client to insurance. Pull and send invoices to clients when requested – may involve calling client offices to obtain information. Work with e‑invoices inactive or return mail by calling clients to find correct address and updating that in QBS. Process billing adjustments in QBS and WBS. Comply with departmental Business Rules and Standard Operating Procedures. Interpret explanation of benefits for appropriate follow‑up action. Utilize automation tools to verify eligibility, claim status, and/or to obtain better billing information. Communicate and collaborate with members or providers to evaluate claims errors/issues, using clear, simple language to ensure understanding. Conduct data entry and re‑work for adjudication of claims. Work on various other projects as needed. Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, accuracy, quality, patient and client satisfaction and attendance. This position is full‑time (40 hrs/week) Mon‑Fri. Overtime, weekends or holidays may be required occasionally. Pay Range: $18.39+/hr. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, certifications. Successful candidates may receive annual performance bonus compensation. Training Requirement: Successful completion of Quest Diagnostics new hire training and demonstrated proficiency is required to continue in the role. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience. Proficient with computer and Windows PC applications (Outlook, Excel, instant messaging, video conferencing). Strong keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs. Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. Ability to keep all company‑sensitive documents secure (if applicable). Must live in a location that can receive a Quest‑approved high‑speed internet connection or leverage an existing high‑speed internet service. Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience in a fast‑paced environment requiring strong multi‑tasking and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Skills: Ability to exhibit empathy and be courteous to callers. Ability to triage and handle escalated situations. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to adapt to changes. Ability to develop and maintain client relationships. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Products. Good communication skills.
