A Tele RN specializes in attending to patients in our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret our patients’ vital signs such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring ensures early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient’s condition. Responsibilities Assess patients’ conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, allowing remote monitoring of heart rates and rhythms Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring results, diagnostic studies, and symptomatology Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions Provide hands‑on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, and provide guidance on self‑care practices and lifestyle modifications in the Telemetry Unit Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and address concerns to the physician as soon as possible Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Qualifications Current and valid state RN License Current BLS certificate upon hire and to remain current Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and to remain current Previous acute‑care hospital experience preferred Ventilator management experience preferred Medical‑Surgical Nurse‑Board Certified (RN‑BC) or similar certification; preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Employment Status Full Time Shift Nights Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
