We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Back of House Team Leader to drive culinary excellence, speed, and food safety in our kitchen. In this operational leadership role, you will lead BOH shifts, coach kitchen team members, manage food quality, and maintain kitchen efficiency during peak volumes. You will work directly alongside Executive Directors and the Franchise Operator to uphold Chick-fil-A's high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Kitchen Shift Leadership: Lead daily BOH shift operations with urgency and precision, ensuring fast production speeds and accurate order fulfillment. Set a positive tone by leading shifts, opening/closing, and acting as a role model. Assist in training new hires and foster a friendly, encouraging team environment. Strong people skills and a genuine desire to serve and support team members
• Food Safety & Quality Control: Enforce strict adherence to Chick-fil-A food safety guidelines, correct holding temperatures, recipe accuracy, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Team Coaching & Development: Mentor and train BOH team members across all kitchen stations (breading, prep, machines, boards), setting a high standard for teamwork and work ethic. Coach and develop team members to meet operational and service goals
• Cost & Food Waste Control: Monitor food prep systems, inventory rotation (FIFO), and waste tracking to help manage kitchen food costs and operational efficiency.
• Equipment & Cleanliness: Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated safely and maintained; oversee opening, mid-shift, and closing sanitation checklists. Manage food costs through training and systems
• Communication: Maintain clear, positive communication with Front of House leadership to balance food timing and guest satisfaction. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of kitchen, food prep, or restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Food Safety: Knowledge of basic food safety standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).
• Leadership & Drive: Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate a team under high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen conditions. Leadership experience preferred but not required. Fair and respectful management of team behavior and performance
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long shifts and comfortably lift and carry 30–50 lbs regularly.
• Availability: Flexible availability including early mornings, late nights, and Saturdays (Sundays off). Reliable transportation with ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability: To thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
