About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Overland Park, Kansas, 66206!

• Float between multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments across metro campuses as needed - this is a float pool position with no assigned home unit
• Provide direct patient care in telemetry, cardiac, neuro stepdown, and medical/surgical settings with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias via telemetry; respond to emergent situations as needed
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, stroke, renal failure, AFib, GIB, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization care and utilize facility technology including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
• Take on holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed; expected to work 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

• Active RN license - both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers considered
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and emergency response
• No pending licenses accepted
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal following cardiac catheterization procedures
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management

• Gain diverse clinical exposure by floating across multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU units within a well-established metro health system
• Expected weekly hours of 36 hours with a structured 13-week contract and a consistent day shift schedule
