Managing multiple specialties within the coding department, the full-time remote Tennessee Licensed Inpatient Coding Director will oversee professional and outpatient facility coding, analyze departmental policies, and ensure quality performance through monitoring and feedback across various departments. Key responsibilities Supervise and coordinate inpatient facility coding operations, providing guidance to coding managers Develop departmental goals and objectives aligned with institutional policies and analyze budget variances to achieve financial targets Monitor quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Five years of relevant work experience in medical coding Certified Professional Coder - Outpatient certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders Expertise in medical coding and compliance regulations Strong leadership and people management skills
