Product & Sourcing Manager – Beauty & Grooming Position: Product & Sourcing Manager – Beauty & Grooming (Men’s & Women’s) Location: New York, NY (with international travel) Reports to: Executive Leadership Overview A New York-based wholesale and design company is seeking a Product & Sourcing Manager to lead the Beauty and Grooming categories across both men’s and women’s product lines. This role is responsible for owning the category end-to-end, combining product development, trend identification, and sourcing to build a competitive and market-relevant assortment. The ideal candidate is highly trend-focused, deeply immersed in the beauty space, and capable of consistently delivering new, in-demand products that resonate with retail buyers and consumers. Key Responsibilities Product Development & Category Ownership Own the Beauty and Grooming categories from concept through production Build and maintain a comprehensive and trend-forward product assortment Ensure the product line consistently reflects current market trends and customer demand Identify gaps in the assortment and develop new products to maintain a complete and competitive offering Trend Analysis & Market Research Conduct continuous research to stay ahead of beauty and grooming trends across men’s and women’s categories Regularly visit retail stores and analyze competitor products to identify opportunities Translate market insights into actionable product and sourcing strategies Ensure new and relevant products are always available for customer presentations and meetings Source products and materials from overseas factories, primarily in Asia Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to identify new product opportunities Evaluate and vet factories for quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and timelines to align with business objectives Business Growth & Strategy Analyze performance across beauty subcategories and identify opportunities for growth Align product assortment with specific customer, buyer, and retail channel needs Continuously evolve the category to drive revenue and market expansion Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with sales teams to support customer meetings and product presentations Collaborate with buyers and internal stakeholders to align on product direction Work closely with sourcing, production, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution Support overall category strategy and go-to-market efforts Travel internationally as needed to visit suppliers and attend trade shows (primarily in Asia) Build strong supplier relationships and stay current on emerging product innovations and capabilities Qualifications 5+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or category management within beauty or consumer goods Direct experience in beauty and/or grooming categories (men’s and women’s) required Background working with mass market or off-price retail channels Strong understanding of beauty trends, consumer preferences, and retail dynamics Experience working with overseas manufacturers and global supply chains Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Willingness to travel internationally as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Truststone Group, LLC
