Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, and supporting financial reporting and analysis activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing supporting schedules.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Support financial audits and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Experience with financial statement preparation.

Compensation & Employment Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Location: Denver, CO (On-Site)
• Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085), the salary range for this position will be disclosed during the interview process. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group will not request or consider salary history in making compensation decisions.
