Accounts Payable Clerk

Who You Are The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations while assisting with general accounting and financial processes. This role reports to the Controller and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across accounting and business operations. What You'll Do Accounts Payable (Primary Focus):

- Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
- Maintain and update vendor records in SAP
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process AP checks and wire payments
- Audit freight bills and prepare debit notes as needed
- Maintain accounts payable files and generate reports
- Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support monthly close activities
- Assist with inventory, sales, and gross margin reporting
- Support commission calculations and invoicing
- Prepare weekly cycle count reports
- Generate purchase orders as needed
- Assist with issuing and receiving production orders
- Provide administrative support as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
- Support various accounting and operational projects
- 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Salary: $41,000 - $43,000
- Office-based role in Hackensack, NJ
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
