Quality Engineer III
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000
Job Type: Direct Hire Advance Your Quality Engineering CareerWe are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer III to support automotive manufacturing operations and lead quality improvement, problem-solving, and launch activities. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers to drive product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities- Lead 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, root cause, and corrective action activities.
- Lead/support APQP, PPAP/ISIR, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA .
- Drive defect, scrap, rework, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage customer and supplier quality issues , containment, and corrective actions.
- Support NPI, product launches, engineering changes, and production improvements .
- Monitor quality metrics and support internal/customer audits.
- Provide hands-on quality support to manufacturing and production teams.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality experience.
- Strong automotive manufacturing experience; OEM, Tier 1/Tier 2, or automotive components preferred.
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D .
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred.
- Automotive lighting or electrical/electronic component experience.
- IATF 16949 / AIAG Core Tools.
- Customer/Supplier Quality experience.
- NPI/launch experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience.
Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. Relocation candidates are welcome.
