Swim Associate - Big Blue Swim School

We're growing our team of Swim Associates for our North Brunswick, NJ location. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping kids achieve their full potential and eager to grow their professional skills. We provide training in a welcoming and supportive environment to ensure you're empowered to give our students the best swim experience, as well as reach your full potential--while having fun in the process! Responsibilities Participate in paid swim instructor training Provide instruction to students following approved training methodology and lesson plans Create a fun environment for students that's focused on learning Adhere to all safety guidelines and emergency procedures Evaluate and report student progress using approved criteria Communicate professionally and effectively to provide a high level of service during all customer interactions Assist with front desk responsibilities as well as maintain a clean facility Attend ongoing trainings as scheduled Represent Big Blue Swim School with a high level of professionalism and conduct in the workplace Other duties as assigned Requirements High energy Enjoys teaching kids Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time Available to work in the water for at least 15 hours per week Must be willing to work weeknights and at least one weekend day Preferred Qualifications Lifeguard/CPR certification We offer Team Members Competitive Pay : Our new employees earn $16 - $19.50/hour depending on experience Consistent Schedules: We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities with consistent schedules.
