Medical Technologist - Evening Shift Schedule: Evening Shift with rotating weekends Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Normal Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty Certification/registration or certification/registry eligible as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology Skills in both verbal and written communication Roles & Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests in various areas (hematology, immunohematology, immunology, bacteriology, microscopy, routine chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring) following established protocols. Conduct phlebotomies, including arterial puncture and venipunctures, applying age-specific criteria. Process specimens and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control. Validate and report test results accurately and timely. Assist in the development of laboratory policy and procedural manuals. Participate in training and orientation of students and new employees. Compliance / Notes: Adhere to all safety practices, including infection control and exposure control plans. Attend all required inservice education sessions. Comply with the Code of Conduct and relevant policies and procedures.
