Location 5595 Grand Drive in Forest Park,Saint Louis, MO, 63112,United States Employee Type Non Exempt FT Required Degree High school Manage Others No Contact information Name Human Resources Position Summary Perform a wide range of arboricultural maintenance duties including planting, pruning, felling, watering, mulching, weeding, and IPM pest management in Forest Park, within areas maintained by Forest Park Forever. Essential Functions of the Job Perform tree planting, pruning, monitoring and maintenance. Operate light equipment, automotive equipment, utility vehicles, power tools and hand tools. Provide support for Forest Park Forever special events. Supervise seasonal and volunteer staff to accomplish maintenance goals, as requested. Position Qualifications Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Experience in arboriculture or related field is a plus. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license. Physical Work Conditions Ability to exert physical effort for extended periods in performing manual labor in extreme temperatures required. Ability to frequently move and/or lift up to fifty (50) pounds and carry it a reasonable distance, and occasionally lift and/or move more than eighty (80) pounds. Applicant must have knowledge of tools, materials, and practices of tree maintenance, while possessing the ability to operate an automotive vehicle and light equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to hear, understand and follow oral and written instructions over phone and in person.
