Seasonal Surgical Tech First Assist (Job Number: 250004T1) This role provides high-quality surgical first assist services during procedures at Tampa General Hospital. Responsibilities Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures. Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of a registered nurse. Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a certified surgical technician program and a recognized first assistant training program. At least one year of experience as a surgical tech.
