Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy Technician supports the Endoscopy team by preparing procedure rooms, assisting physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, handling and reprocessing endoscopes and accessories, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for patient care. This role is critical to maintaining patient safety, infection prevention standards, and efficient patient flow in the Endoscopy Department.

Qualifications:

• Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an Endoscopy Technician training program preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Endoscopy.
• Skills:
• Endoscopic procedures and accessories.
• High-level disinfection (HLD) standards and workflow.
• Infection prevention principles.
• Follow detailed policies and procedures.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• License / Certification:
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) — SGNA or CBSPD (preferred, not required).
• BLS- Basic Life Support.
• Travel Requirements:
• Minimal.
