Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical RN with telemetry expertise to support a variety of patient care units. This role involves floating within a Central Pool and providing flexible coverage across multiple departments to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in medical, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and psychiatry units.
• Support telemetry units with specialized skills in cardiac monitoring and patient assessment.
• Float between units within the Central Pool as needed, adapting to staffing requirements.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including weekend rotations and flexible shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Have at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large, teaching facility.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems within the past 2 years.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with NIHSS completed prior to start.
• Have prior travel nursing experience with large facilities.
• Be flexible with scheduling and willing to float across units.
