Training Manager, Countering Antisemitism Lab

Training Manager, Countering Antisemitism Lab The USC Shoah Foundation Countering Antisemitism Lab (CAL) is seeking a Training Manager to contribute to the work in its Countering Antisemitism Laboratory. This role will design and lead training initiatives relating to antisemitism for an array of diverse audiences. These audiences will include: city, state, and federal government; university students, staff, and faculty; journalists and media producers; online content creators; religious leaders and more. The CAL Training Manager will work closely with the Lab Director to design, execute, and assess these trainings and their effectiveness at preventing and countering antisemitism. The Training Manager is a supervisory position. This is a two-year, fixed term position, eligible for most USC Employee Benefits. Job Responsibilities Training Design & Development Design training curricula on antisemitism prevention and response tailored to specific audience needs Adapt evidence-based research findings from CAL, academic literature, and allied organizations into accessible educational materials and training modules Develop resources including presentation decks, facilitator guides, participant materials, and digital learning tools Create training content across formats: in-person workshops, webinars, asynchronous e-learning, and train-the-trainer programs Maintain and update training materials to reflect emerging research, current events, and audience feedback Supervise contractors and relevant staff to facilitate training design and development Training Delivery & Facilitation Lead training sessions for diverse audiences, including government officials (city, state, federal), university communities (students, staff, faculty), journalists and media producers, online content creators, religious leaders, and community organizations Facilitate challenging conversations about antisemitism with sensitivity to audience contexts and institutional cultures Adapt delivery style and content emphasis based on real-time audience engagement and learning needs Collaborate with Foundation staff to coordinate logistics for training events including scheduling, technology setup, venue arrangements, and participant communications Travel as needed to deliver on-site trainings Assessment and Evaluation Work with CAL Research Scientist and CAL Director to design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure training effectiveness, knowledge retention, and behavioral change Work with CAL Director and CAL Research Scientist to develop pre- and post-training assessment instruments including surveys, knowledge checks, and follow-up measures Work with CAL Director and CAL Research Scientist to analyze evaluation data to identify trends, measure impact, and inform continuous improvement Prepare assessment reports for internal review, funders, and stakeholders Contribute findings to CAL's broader research agenda on intervention effectiveness Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Build and maintain relationships with allied organizations and training recipients Consult with stakeholders to identify training needs and customize programming Represent CAL at conferences, convenings, and professional networks Coordinate with allied researchers and practitioners to share best practices and align approaches Administrative and Strategic Support Maintain training records, participant databases, and program documentation Track and report on training metrics including reach, audience demographics, and satisfaction scores Contribute to CAL's strategic planning regarding training priorities and capacity building Support grant writing and reporting related to training initiatives Assist with other Lab projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director Work with Shoah Foundation staff to administer contractor and supervisee materials Job Qualifications Preferred Qualifications PhD or professional experience in relevant field Experience training government officials, law enforcement, educators, or media Knowledge of Title VI enforcement and campus antisemitism issues Familiarity with social media dynamics and online antisemitism Experience with train-the-trainer models and capacity building Background in program evaluation or applied research Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Jewish Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Social Psychology, Public Policy, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience designing and delivering training or educational programming for adult audiences Demonstrated expertise in antisemitism (historical and contemporary manifestations, conspiracy theories, intervention approaches) Strong instructional design skills with knowledge of adult learning theory and evidence-based pedagogical practices Experience facilitating difficult conversations on sensitive topics with diverse audiences Excellent presentation and public speaking skills with ability to engage varied learning styles Proficiency in evaluation design and data analysis for program assessment Strong project management abilities including organization, time management, and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with presentation software, learning management systems, and virtual training platforms Ability to travel domestically (approximately 25%) #J-18808-Ljbffr USC Shoah Foundation
