CT Technologist

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. This role provides support for other imaging technologists as needed and helps facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. The Technologist is expected to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The Technologist will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Responsibilities include meeting the expectations of applicable competencies and demonstrating adherence to core values. The Technologist maintains consistency with administrative and departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability. Promoting staff growth, development, and employee engagement is essential by collaborating with management, coworkers, and physicians to create an optimal work environment. Providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians will promote exceptional physician satisfaction. All duties must be performed in a manner that protects patient confidentiality. The Technologist must not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless necessary for the performance of assigned job duties. Assigned patient assessments, treatment, and/or care methods must be appropriately adapted to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served. Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities is required. The Technologist performs examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of their licenses, certifications, and documented competencies. Flexibility in working other shifts and at other campuses is essential. Ensuring completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the PACS is the responsibility of the Technologist. The ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser, with escalation of any problems or issues to the PACS administrator or designee if needed, is necessary. Troubleshooting and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel is required, along with appropriate follow-up. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
