Essential Qualifications:

• Valid SLP – CCC certification
• Experience in school settings, ideally with middle school students
• Comprehensive understanding of speech and language disorders in children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Flexibility to adapt to on-site and possibly remote learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in 6th-grade students
• Create and update IEPs, working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents
• Provide direct therapy sessions—individually or in small groups—to address diverse student needs
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary
• Offer guidance to teachers and families, helping them support students’ communication goals in the classroom and at home
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
