Work Environment

This full-time position operates within a bustling outpatient office in Morristown, Tennessee—a vibrant community that appreciates health and wellness. The environment emphasizes teamwork, patient engagement, and forward-thinking methodologies, all within a modern 5,000 square foot facility. You will be supported by two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, contributing to a dynamic workplace focused on patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand individual patient needs to establish personalized treatment objectives.
• Maintain a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring focused and dedicated care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Develop and execute comprehensive treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Advocate for non-surgical alternatives while working towards reducing patient reliance on medications.
• Design individualized fitness and wellness programs, adapting exercises to meet specific rehab goals.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to promote healing and improve physical functionality.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring consistent communication with patients and caregivers.
• Document all patient interactions and therapeutic interventions accurately in EMR software, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and complex musculoskeletal conditions. We prioritize individualized care plans that address each patient's unique goals, whether that involves rehabilitating after an injury or optimizing physical performance.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Tennessee is essential.
• No records of board or disciplinary actions against your license are acceptable.
• Competence in manual therapy techniques and designing effective exercise programs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Experience working with a team to enhance patient care and streamline processes.

Compensation and Benefits
