Description: Mission Hospital is a flagship facility recognized for high clinical quality and patient safety. Our hospital has earned an A safety grade and has achieved Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. We serve as a referral center for trauma, stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. We have a busy robotic surgery program and offer open-heart and interventional cardiology services. The Progressive Care Unit has 20 beds. Staffing consists of a charge nurse, registered nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Patient-to-nurse ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6. The unit handles a mix of medical-surgical and step-down patients. Typical equipment includes telemetry monitoring, with patients hardwired to bedside monitors. Experience in telemetry and progressive care nursing is required. Candidates should have a positive attitude and a focus on patient experience. Teamwork and compassion are essential traits for this role. Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. Every other weekend is required, with no on-call duties.
