About The Role Coordinates and directs the design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing duties personally or through subordinate employees. Compensation & Schedule Hourly – based on experience Monday – Friday (full‑time, non‑exempt) What You Will Do Provide maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment in collaboration with the Plant Manager to recommend replacements or adjustments. Aid in maintaining preventative maintenance programs. Assist with HVAC systems, electrical/lighting systems, plumbing, computer wiring, security, janitorial services and other factors. Perform audits to support facility safety. Engage in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance. Implement Safety, LOCK OUT TAG OUT, and HAZMAT training. Key Relationships Reports directly to the Director of Facilities; this relationship is critical. Builds strong, trusting, supportive, and collaborative relationships with all members of management. Education and/or Experience High School degree and experience with facility responsibilities in a manufacturing environment. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals; develop and present complex ideas to senior management, employee groups, and customers; and make effective and persuasive presentations. Mathematical Skills Ability to estimate, measure and maintain a purchase budget for parts. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems; deal with non‑verbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs), abstract and concrete variables. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk and hear, and may occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 40 pounds. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required. Working Environment The work is done primarily in a manufacturing environment with noise levels ranging from quiet to high.
