Senior Property Accountant

Seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, completing month-end close activities, and supporting audits, budgeting, and property transitions. Role Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting packages for multiple properties Perform month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and general ledger reconciliations Complete bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items Manage cash flow forecasting, cash balances, owner distributions, and electronic funds transfers Monitor debt service, escrow accounts, reserve balances, insurance, and real estate tax payments Review asset management fees and balance sheet schedules for accuracy Partner with property operations teams to support monthly close and financial reporting deadlines Support annual budgets, reforecasts, audits, property acquisitions, and dispositions Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies Assist with training, process improvement initiatives, and special projects Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience within multifamily property accounting Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (LOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) Experience with property management/accounting software such as Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
