Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate Advanced Care Technician (ACT-Float) to provide essential patient care and comfort under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This role supports infant, pediatric, and adult patients, ensuring their daily needs are met with kindness and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
All candidates must successfully pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background check prior to employment. This opportunity is located in a vibrant regional healthcare setting within the Pacific Northwest, serving diverse communities with dedication and care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control protocols.
- Offer comfort measures and assist patients with daily activities and meals.
- Record and communicate vital signs and patient observations to supervisors.
- Clean and prepare medical equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with patient transport as needed.
- Prepare formula in the NICU department when required.
- ACT: Preferred 3-6 months experience in an acute care setting.
- ACT-Float: Preferred 1 year experience in acute care.
- NICU Department: Required minimum 2 years CNA experience; pediatric experience highly valued.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to follow instructions in English.
- Familiarity with electronic charting is a plus.
- Must hold one or more of the following upon hire:
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Military Corpsman
- Nursing student with fundamentals of nursing completed, including initial assessment and vital signs
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- NVCI certification within 90 days of hire or transfer for specific departments.
- Completion of at least 10 continuing education hours annually related to the role.
