Registered Nurse Telemetry

The Registered Nurse - Telemetry provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, including those with ventilators and tracheostomies. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The nurse must be skilled in managing critically ill patients and able to float to medical-surgical units as needed. Strong communication and clinical expertise are essential, with at least one year of experience required. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry patients, including ventilated and tracheostomy management.
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Float between telemetry and medical-surgical units as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech electronic charting system.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, including care of ventilated patients and tracheostomy management.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring skills.
• Ability to work within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation within a 50-mile radius.

• Experience in acute care hospital settings.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Previous experience floating between telemetry and medical-surgical units.

• Must have experience managing ventilated patients and tracheostomies; candidates without these skills will not be considered.
• Floating between units is required, including possible assignment to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance.
• No on-call requirements.
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions must be submitted with application.
• Facility allows one call-off per two-week pay period.

• Work schedule includes weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion.
• Shift type and hours are determined by facility needs and manager assignment.
