Senior Clinical Research Scientist

Senior Clinical Research Scientist position supporting scientific publication and medical writing for Johnson & Johnson's Electrophysiology business. The role involves developing high-quality manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations to disseminate clinical trial data, working with cross-functional teams in Irvine, California on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and congresses
• Draft evidence dissemination materials including summaries, graphic abstracts, webpages for diverse audiences
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external physician authors to ensure scientific accuracy and integrity
• Analyze clinical data and create well-structured tables and visually compelling figures for communication
• Coordinate document reviews, incorporate feedback, obtain approvals, and ensure timely submissions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree minimum; advanced degree preferred in life sciences or related field
• 3+ years direct clinical publications experience in medical industry or research setting
• 3+ years cardiovascular and/or electrophysiology therapeutic area experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent project management abilities
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Good Publication Practice, and ICMJE standards
• ISMPP CMPP or AMWA MWC credentials preferred; publication platform and reference software familiarity preferred
• Demonstrated adaptability in fast-paced environments with strong interpersonal collaboration skills
