About the Role:
The Dental Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to the Dentist to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role requires flexibility and a team-oriented approach to support overall program and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Dentist with chairside procedures and patient care
• Take and process dental X-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure proper sterilization, cleanliness, and infection control
• Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
• Manage supplies and maintain inventory
• Support scheduling, patient communication, and front desk tasks
• Perform basic lab duties and provide oral hygiene education
• Follow all safety, compliance, and clinic protocols

Core Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:

a. Certificate in Dental Assisting from a Dental Assisting Program with one (1) year of clinical experience as a Dental Assistant within the past five (5) years; or b. On-the-job training with three (3) years of clinical chairside dental assisting experience within the past five (5) years. Must be willing and able to enroll in and successfully complete a Dental Assisting Program and obtain certification within eighteen (18) months of hire.

• Experience with electronic dental software required. Dentrix preferred.
• Experience with taking digital dental radiographs required. Dexis preferred.
• Must maintain current professional licensure in Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain licensure within ninety (90) days of date of hire.
• Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain certification during the first week of employment.
• Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
• Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
• Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events
• Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
