Payroll AdministratorA growing organization with a geographically distributed workforce is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join a small, collaborative Finance/Payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with payroll leadership while gaining exposure to U.S. and international payroll operations.The Payroll Administrator will support the day-to-day administration of payroll across multiple entities and countries. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on U.S. payroll processing experience and some familiarity with international payroll. This role will work closely with internal Finance and HR teams as well as external payroll providers to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and completed on schedule.Key responsibilities include:Processing payroll for U.S. employees and supporting payroll activities for employees located internationally.Coordinating payroll information with third-party providers, local vendors, and employer-of-record partners.Reviewing and implementing employee updates, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, and allowances.Verifying payroll reports and employee data before payroll is finalized.Preparing payroll-related accounting entries and assisting with general ledger reconciliation.Researching and resolving differences between payroll records and accounting balances.Reconciling payroll taxes, benefit deductions, retirement contributions, invoices, and other payroll-related transactions.Reviewing payroll funding requirements and assisting with cash reconciliation.Maintaining accurate payroll records, tax information, earnings history, and supporting documentation.Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.Supporting annual payroll reporting, tax forms, reconciliations, and bonus processes.Helping ensure payroll practices meet applicable federal, state, and international requirements.Assisting with payroll audits and providing requested documentation.Preparing payroll reports and analysis for HR, Finance, Accounting, and management.Responding to employee questions involving compensation, deductions, taxes, direct deposit, and other payroll matters.Coordinating payroll-related benefit deductions and working with vendors to resolve discrepancies.Assisting with payroll system updates, testing, implementations, and process improvements.Helping maintain accurate information between payroll, HRIS, timekeeping, and benefits systems.Protecting confidential employee and compensation information while maintaining strong internal controls.Qualifications include:3+ years of progressive payroll experience.Strong hands-on experience processing U.S. payroll, particularly multi-state payroll.Exposure to international payroll is required.Experience supporting employees or entities across multiple countries is a plus.Working knowledge of international payroll practices and statutory requirements.Experience with ADP software highly preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel and payroll-system capabilities.Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different locations and time zones.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.Payroll certifications such as CPP, CEBS, GBA, or CBP are a plus.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
