Packaging Machine Operator

Job Title: Bag Maker / Packaging Machine Operator Position Type: Full-Time Industry: Manufacturing Schedule: 2-2-3 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Bag Maker with hands-on experience operating ROVEMA or similar vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) packaging equipment . The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up, operating, adjusting, and troubleshooting packaging machinery while maintaining production speed and product quality. ROVEMA bagmakers use controls/HMI systems to set recipes and forming parameters such as bag length and machine speed, followed by mechanical setup of the bag-forming equipment. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor ROVEMA or similar bagging/packaging equipment. Set up and adjust machines for different bag sizes, products, and packaging materials. Load and adjust machine recipes and production settings through the HMI. Monitor bag formation, sealing, filling, cutting, and overall package quality. Perform machine changeovers and make adjustments to maintain production efficiency. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make appropriate adjustments. Inspect finished bags for proper seals, weight, appearance, and quality. Minimize product and packaging waste. Complete production and quality documentation. Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation procedures. Communicate machine or production issues to supervisors and maintenance. Required Experience: Previous experience as a Bag Maker, Packaging Machine Operator, Machine Operator, or similar manufacturing role . ROVEMA experience strongly preferred. Experience with VFFS/vertical bagging equipment is highly preferred. Experience with another comparable packaging machine brand will be considered. Ability to perform machine setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting. Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks. Preferred Equipment Experience: ROVEMA, Bosch, Ishida, Triangle, Matrix, TNA, Hayssen, Rovema BVC/BVI/BVK, or other comparable VFFS/bagging equipment. Ideal Candidate: We're looking for someone who can walk up to a bagging machine, understand the controls, perform a changeover, make necessary adjustments, and keep production running efficiently with minimal supervision. #J-18808-Ljbffr
