What you’ll do at DBH Plans, organizes & facilitates a comprehensive treatment program of recreation, art, or music therapy/adjunctive therapy (AT) for assigned unit Conducts therapy sessions using defined therapy techniques & mediums Conducts individual & group therapy sessions for evaluation & skills/performance development in areas of discipline E valuates patient progress toward treatment goals & objectives Completes documentation to Joint Commission and CMS standards Functions as a primary member of assigned interdisciplinary treatment team Plans, organizes, & facilitates a comprehensive treatment plan on behalf of interdisciplinary treatment team & coordinates treatment team responsibilities Maintains scheduling of patient services This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit, with a pay range of 30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Qualifications 24 months experience in development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled & working as part of inter‑disciplinary team to assess individual’s needs & abilities; 12 months experience as lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees; 12 months training or 12 months experience in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers. Or completion of undergraduate core program in mental health & developmental disabilities technology, social work or comparable field (e.g., child & family community services), special education, psychology or rehabilitation; 12 months experience as lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees; 12 months training or 12 months experience in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers. Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an accredited institution approved by American Music Therapy Association (i.e., AMTA); completion of 6 months, 1040‑hour music therapy internship at an approved AMTA site & board certification (i.e., MT‑BC) by certification board for music therapists (i.e., CBMT); 24 months experience in activity therapy.
