Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and Epic EMR experience for a hospital-based imaging role.

Job Details

• MRI Technologist role within the Radiology/Cardiology department,
• Serves adult and pediatric patients in acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings,
• Performs a wide range of MRI exams including abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging,
• Utilizes GE and Siemens MRI equipment,
• Performs specialized imaging techniques including gradient echo, spin echo, T1/T2 weighted imaging, MIP, and MPR,
• Prepares and administers contrast media and may start peripheral IVs,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
• 13-week assignment length,
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the system,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission if applicable,
• Must be able to work with adult and pediatric patient populations,
• Experience with abdominal MRA/MRV and MRCP preferred,
• Radiation safety knowledge preferred,
• Experience in ER/Trauma and pediatric acute/outpatient settings preferred,
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required,

Additional Information

• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day),
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront at the time of application, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated,
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a lower bill rate,
• Former permanent employees of the facility may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility,
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff,
