Billing Specialist

Billing Specialist Location: Wall Township, NJ (On-Site) About the Opportunity Our client, a growing SaaS company, is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage the day-to-day billing and invoicing function. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong QuickBooks skills who wants to grow their career in a fast-paced, subscription-based business. Prior experience with SaaS or subscription billing is a huge plus. Responsibilities Manage the full billing cycle — generate, review, and send accurate customer invoices on a recurring and ad hoc basis Process billing in QuickBooks Online, ensuring data integrity between billing records and the general ledger Handle subscription billing activities including renewals, upgrades/downgrades, proration, and cancellations Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on past-due balances, and support collections efforts Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve customer billing inquiries in a timely, professional manner Assist with month-end close by preparing billing-related journal entries and reconciliations Maintain accurate customer billing records, contracts, and payment terms within QuickBooks and any billing/subscription platforms Support the Controller/accounting team with ad hoc reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives Ensure billing practices comply with company policy and support scalability as the business grows Qualifications 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred) Experience billing in a SaaS or subscription-based business is a huge plus Familiarity with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, Zuora, or similar) a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders on billing matters Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience (let me know the range and I'll drop it in) Medical insurance (employee coverage paid by employer) Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) Opportunity to grow with a fast-growing organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
