Job Details:

The Transplant Nurse Coordinator is a vital member of the multidisciplinary transplant team, responsible for guiding patients through every phase of the transplant journey. This role coordinates all aspects of the pre-transplant evaluation process, including scheduling and monitoring required testing, reviewing laboratory and diagnostic results, providing comprehensive patient and family education, and ensuring seamless communication between internal and external care teams. The Transplant Nurse Coordinator assesses patient health status, collaborates closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, and serves as a clinical resource and advocate throughout the transplant process. Additional responsibilities include maintaining regulatory and clinical documentation, supporting quality improvement and research initiatives, mentoring team members, and participating in an on-call rotation to coordinate transplant activities and triage patient needs. This position requires exceptional clinical judgment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor degree in Nursing required
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required
• 3-years of acute care RN work experience required; transplant nursing experience preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
