Registered Nurse - Telemetry

This position requires a 12-hour shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week.

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry department is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care tailored to patient needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
• Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care through assessment and planning.
• Developing and coordinating an individualized plan of care for assigned patients.
• Initiating assessments based on the patient's problems and medical diagnosis.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Managing care of patients and documenting care based on standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practice care standards.
• Providing patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required experience/certifications/licensure include:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Required hard skills: chest tube/stroke patient experience and the ability to manage up to 6 patients.
• Required soft skills: experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Licenses & Certifications: Telemetry certification and NIH Stroke certification.
