Work Environment\n

As a member of our outpatient clinic, you will work primarily from the comfort of your home, offering individual in-home therapy sessions or conducting virtual group therapy. This innovative remote work setting promotes flexibility and allows you to engage with clients through various digital platforms effectively. Working with a collaborative team of professionals, you will participate in regular virtual meetings and contribute to a supportive network striving for excellence in client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home treatment sessions or group therapy meetings, emphasizing emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, and social skills development.

• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at minimizing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and aggression.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance both the children's and caregivers’ decision-making capabilities in managing behavioral issues.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
\n
• Successfully complete all necessary documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely manner.
\n
• Engage actively in team meetings, offering insight and strategic recommendations for client treatment and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are facing various developmental and intellectual challenges. By providing targeted therapy, you will work with a diverse group of special needs youngsters and their caregivers, ensuring that they receive the tailored support necessary for their unique situations. This role requires cultural sensitivity, especially for those bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, as many of our clients come from varied backgrounds and may benefit from communication in their native languages.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• A valid, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during evenings, particularly between 4-7 PM, is preferred.

• Flexibility to work weekends is considered advantageous.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for possible in-home sessions are required.
\n
• Completion of a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting, will be conducted.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience with positive behavior support strategies is highly valued.

• Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.

• Experience providing therapy in bilingual capacities (Spanish or Portuguese) will be considered a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
