Maintenance Director

Maintenance DirectorBuckingham Heights is seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Director to help keep our senior living community safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained.In this leadership role, you will oversee the maintenance of our building, grounds, equipment, and safety systems while managing the housekeeping and laundry teams. You will also coordinate outside vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance and repair projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the maintenance, appearance, safety, and overall condition of the communityPerform routine building maintenance and minor repairsInspect and troubleshoot facility equipment, systems, and safety featuresCoordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpeting, and flooringManage outside vendors and contractors performing work within the communitySupervise and support the housekeeping and laundry teamsMaintain inventory and order maintenance supplies as neededInstall appliances, equipment, and other facility itemsConduct monthly fire drills with staff and managementEnsure tools and equipment are cleaned, serviced, and stored properlyMaintain required building certifications, inspections, and documentationEnsure compliance with applicable health, safety, and quality standardsQualificationsWorking knowledge of carpentry, drywall, plumbing, and minor electrical workStrong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skillsPrevious maintenance or facilities experience required; leadership experience preferredValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordHigh school diploma or GED requiredIf you take pride in creating a safe, comfortable environment and enjoy being part of a team that makes a meaningful difference for residents, we would love to meet you.
