Job Description Purpose of the Role
The Site Manager USA is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the company's U.S. site and serves as the formal legal and employer representative of the company The role ensures that the U.S. operation is conducted in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and in alignment with the Group's strategy, values, policies, and financial objectives. The Site Manager role is operational and administrative in nature. While direct responsibility for market and sales activities resides with segment responsible managers in the parent company, these activities represent a critical focus area for the U.S. operation. The Site Manager shall therefore actively support sales and market activities locally, ensure strong coordination with segment managers, and maintain a high level of awareness of ongoing commercial efforts. The role is also responsible for ensuring excellent customer delivery, promoting a strong customer focus, and contributing to a clear understanding of customer needs in the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities
Overall Site Leadership and Corporate Responsibility
- Act as the General Manager / Managing Director of the US operations, with responsibility for statutory compliance, corporate governance, and required filings and reporting.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the Group's strategy, policies, and ethical standards.
- Recruit and onboard U.S. employees in close collaboration with the parent company and relevant segment responsible managers. Sales resources shall report professionally to the respective segment responsible managers, who retain ownership of these resources.
- Hold formal employer responsibility for all U.S.-based employees, including:
o U.S.-based employees working remotely, operationally supporting the site
- Employer responsibility includes employment contracts, local HR administration, performance follow up, employee relations, and workplace compliance.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. employment law, local labor regulations, HR policies, and internal requirements related to employee handbooks, benefits, and working conditions.
- Hold overall financial responsibility for the U.S. entity, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and ongoing financial performance monitoring.
- Hold overall responsibility for financial reporting, monthly close, tax matters, internal controls, and audits, in close coordination with Group Finance.
- Manage and oversee internal accounting and external payroll service providers, ensuring accurate and timely execution of services such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, statutory reporting, and related financial administration.
- Ensure that delegated authorities and signing powers are exercised in accordance with the Group's authorization matrix and governance framework.
- Overall responsibility for warehouse, logistics, and service functions at the U.S. site.
- Oversee service operations supporting customers and internal functions, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with applicable procedures and standards.
- Coordinate closely with segment responsible managers and Group Operations to ensure alignment across functions and locations.
- Responsible for day to day management of premises, warehouse, office facilities, and operational equipment, including maintenance, safety, and further development as required.
- Ensure the site is fully operational, safe, and fit for purpose at all times, including appropriate insurance coverage and required certificates, permits, and inspections.
- Manage suppliers, service agreements, and vendors related to site and facility operations.
- Serve as the company's primary local operational representative in the U.S., acting as a key interface with Group management and central support functions (HR, Finance, Operations, IT).
- Market, commercial, and sales activities are managed by segment responsible functions in the parent company and are outside the scope of this role.
- Provide regular reporting on site operations, warehouse/logistics performance, service activities, financial status, risks, and development to relevant Group stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of organizational structures, processes, and governance as the U.S. operation grows and matures.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is an advantage)
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience with full operational responsibility, preferably as a General Manager, Site Manager, or Operations Manager
- Experience from small or mid-sized organizations, start-up environments, or establishment of new business units is highly desirable
- Solid experience in operations, logistics, warehouse management, service, or similar industrial or technical environments
- Proven ability to manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
- Experience with HR and employer responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
- Familiarity with U.S. employment law, regulatory compliance, and administrative requirements is an advantage
- Strong hands-on leadership style with the ability to combine strategic oversight and operational execution
- High degree of independence, structure, and accountability
- Ability to establish processes, systems, and governance in a growing organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with group functions and stakeholders
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Ability to act as the legal and operational representative of the company in the U.S.
