Paralegal

Vaco is partnering with a well-established publicly traded real estate organization seeking a Paralegal II to support its legal team on a remote contract basis. This role will work closely with attorneys and business partners on a variety of real estate and legal matters, with a particular focus on eminent domain, condemnation, title, and property-related transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with a broad range of real estate legal matters, including condemnation and eminent domain cases.
• Draft and review easements, conveyance documents, settlement agreements, and other real estate-related legal documents.
• Conduct title and survey reviews and identify potential risks or issues.
• Review litigation documents and assist with case management and tracking.
• Coordinate with tenants, outside counsel, government agencies, title companies, and other third parties.
• Assist with legal research, document preparation, lease matters, acquisitions, and development-related projects.
• Monitor active legal matters and maintain accurate records and databases.
• Review legal invoices and assist with document retention and compliance procedures.
• Support special projects and other legal department initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Experience supporting real estate transactions, title review, leasing, contracts, or property-related matters strongly preferred.
• Strong legal document drafting and review skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• California Notary Public is highly preferred.
