Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
• Deliver nursing care across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Maintain a valid California RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted)

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered or granted
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the contract
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads are acceptable)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department setting
• Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient care workflows
• Flexibility to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location when required
