Location: Washington, DC- New Hampshire Avenue NW

Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 7:00 PM–2:00 AM

Compensation: $18 per hour | 1099 Independent Contractor

About the Role

Bay Management Group is seeking a reliable, professional, and attentive Front Desk Receptionist / Building Monitor for a residential property located at New Hampshire Avenue NW in Washington, DC.

This role is focused on maintaining a welcoming, orderly environment during evening and weekend hours by monitoring building access, conducting routine walkthroughs, and helping prevent unauthorized loitering in and around the property.

Position Details

• Independent contractor (1099) position.
• Hourly compensation of $18.
• Scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM .
• On-site at New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the front desk and keep track of individuals entering and exiting the building.
• Conduct two routine building walkthroughs per shift to check common areas and identify potential concerns.
• Help prevent unauthorized loitering in the building's lobby, common areas, and exterior entrance.
• Observe and document potential building rule or lease violations and report concerns to property management.
• Maintain a professional, courteous presence while interacting with residents, visitors, and members of the public.
• Communicate and escalate safety concerns, suspicious activity, or recurring issues to the appropriate management team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently during evening and weekend hours.
• Ability to remain alert, observant, and professional in a residential building environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to document incidents accurately.
• Ability to handle difficult interactions calmly and follow established building policies and procedures.
• Previous experience in reception, concierge services, property management, security monitoring, or a similar role is preferred.
