Posting Number: F002324 Academic Title: Open Rank Faculty Positions in Neurology (Neurology - General) Rank: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Instructor Administrative Title: Discipline Clinical Medicine-MD Specialty: Neurology (General) Contract Type: Non-Tenure Track, Renewable Appointment (initial appt period) - 12/01/23 - 6/30/25 Required Licenses/Certifications and other Specific Requirements: Criminal History Screening, Education/Degree/Certifications Verification, Social Security Number Trace, and Sex Offender Registry Search, Prior Employment Verification, This position requires a licensure, certification, or special requirements Proposed Start Date: 12/01/2023 Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time Position Description Summary: The Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates ( MFA ), an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University ( GWU ), is seeking general neurologists with an interest in stroke, multiple sclerosis, headache, or general neurology. Non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) and salary commensurate with experience. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include providing patient care, teaching students and residents in classroom and clinical settings, and maintaining an active research program. Minimum Qualifications: MD or equivalent required. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Neurology, have completed fellowship training, and be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and/or Virginia at the time of appointment. Applicants must also provide evidence of excellence in clinical care and education.
