Quick2Hire LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment in Santa Monica, California. This opportunity is in the Outpatient Cancer Center and Breast Center, offering a weekday day-shift schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements.

• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Charting System: Epic
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• CMA certification from an accepted organization: AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NCCT, or NHA.
• Experience with electronic medical records; Epic experience is relevant.
• Ability to float between the Cancer Center and Breast Center as needed.
• Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare examination rooms.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Document patient histories, medications, and allergies.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Administer injections, immunizations, and TB tests as authorized.
• Collect, label, and process specimens.
• Perform venipuncture and basic laboratory testing, including blood glucose checks.
• Conduct hearing and vision screenings.
• Assist with nebulizer treatments and suture removal.
• Handle follow-up calls, internal calls, and pharmacy refill requests.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support daily clinical operations.

Additional Information

• The assignment is based in an outpatient clinical setting.
• The Medical Assistant may float between the Cancer Center and Breast Center, which are connected by a shared hallway.
• Front-desk and general administrative duties are not required, although internal calls may need to be answered.
• Parking is available for a fee.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required under the facility's current guideline.
