Details Work in a 12-bed, 24-hour observation Moderate Care Unit serving the entire heart/vascular service line Unit supports CICU, CVICU, and multiple cardiac/vascular stepdown floors Patient population includes low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in ICU or stepdown units, as well as same-day procedure patients requiring extended monitoring before discharge Accommodates LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters No ventilators, CRRT, or Impellas accepted on this unit High volume, fast-paced environment with wide variety in patient diagnoses AM shift, 12-hour shifts No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand Minimum 18 months of specialty experience within the past 3 years required CCRN certification preferred Experience with PA lines required Rare ventilator experience acceptable; no IABP or Impella experience required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Excellent learning platform for a wide range of cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses Opportunity to develop critical care skills and enhance assessment abilities Must complete a proctored rhythm identification test upon starting, with two attempts allowed (not multiple choice) Navy blue scrubs required Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted Former Emory or Houston perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility RTO is strictly limited: maximum 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, maximum 3 days if falling on or near a holiday, and only one holiday request allowed American Traveler Job ID P-743148.
