You'll be working with a caseload of 20-26 students, guiding them through essential reading and writing skills while fostering a love for literature. Your background in ELA at the middle-grade level will be crucial, as the environment requires a teacher who can work independently with limited supervisory support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience teaching ELA to middle school students, especially at the 7th-grade level
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Preferred: Full teaching certification (Instructional I or II in ELA)
• Will consider candidates with emergency certification if they bring solid, relevant experience
• Familiarity with the EL Education curriculum is a plus
• Enthusiastic, organized, and committed to student success

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ELA lessons using the Core Reading Program (EL)
• Design and implement instruction for a diverse group of 7th graders
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
