Design Release Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Design Release Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Wayne, MI. "The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer or Design Release Engineer "

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Design Release Engineer Job responsibilities include:

• Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineers are embedded within the Vehicle Assembly Plant
• They serve as the first line of defense for functional system quality, ensuring products meet engineering and manufacturing standards.
• Analyzing and resolving quality concerns related to incoming components, assembly plant processes, and remote build center operations.
• PVT Engineers collaborate with the Body Exterior engineering team to achieve quality targets focused on trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year university is required.
• Candidate should have experience in Product Development, Quality, Program Management, or Manufacturing with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency as a Design Release Engineer, including the ability to use the WERS release tool, is preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt training is considered an added advantage for supporting quality and process improvement initiatives.
