Role Summary/PurposeThe Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional business and local site objectives. In the role of Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in both short and long-term planning.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader will manage company order book (customer demand), top level planning of the manufacturing production schedules, and direct material procurement strategies needed to support delivery to the order book. In addition, the Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader is responsible for maintaining accuracy of direct material inventory and WIP through regular cycle counting and inventory management practices. The Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader is expected to stimulate sharing of knowledge as well as develop and deliver training where needed.In addition, as the Manufacturing Operations Delivery Leader, you will:Follow the strategic direction that has been set by Business Leaders and the Site Delivery Leader for material operations within the organizationEnsure full raw material availability to the operation in line with the schedule, covering both short and long-term horizonsCoordinate and expedite the flow of materials in cooperation with the production team and lead recovery planning actions where deviations from schedules existReview short and mid-term capacity utilization, working with Operations leaders to establish plans to ensure sufficient capacity is available to process the demand through each cellBe the primary focal point for Business Customers, responsible for CMT commitmentsManage inventory effectively by ensuring aged WIP and slow-moving inventory is addressed, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions and robust processes to eliminate recurrenceManage Physical Inventory for your BusinessLead and encourage process improvement through Lean Six SigmaSupport the activity to maintain data quality and integrity within site systemsEstablish effective performance measures that can be used to alert management on delivery issues and potential late deliveriesQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution with minimum 3 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution, Supply Chain Management, or related field; orAssociated Degree/High school diploma/GED with 7 or more years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Materials Planning, or related operations.Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to influence others and lead small teamsLead initiatives of moderate scope and impactAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven analytical and organizational abilityCompetence in supply chain management principles and practices, shop operations, facilitation, and production control in a manufacturing environment and production planningsystems experienceAbility to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve them appropriatelyLean Six Sigma experienceWhat You’ll Love About SKF: Rest and Relaxation.
