FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Job DutiesYou will develop and implement financial management plans, procedures, and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources to facilitate accomplishment of the organization's mission. You will develop select internal guidance and processes in relation to the execution of financial resources and other internal operations. You will recommend the adoption or implementation of, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, procedures, and strategies in support of the organization's programs. You will review execution documents/reports using available financial management systems. You will direct and/or perform program execution reviews, analyses, and appraisals of the various major operating and support programs within the organization and with external stakeholders. You will conduct research for the development of top-level budget summaries during each budget cycle outlining major changes and tracking current and future capabilities. You will coordinate the development and submission of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM). You will review responses to Congressional inquiries and assists in the development of Congressional Staffer briefs. You will provide analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution. You will develop format and content to provide managers with a number of listings, reports, and data relative to status of funds and obligations. You will develop briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides select recommendations to correct identified program variances or problem areas. You will review and oversee the financial integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of information contained in accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports. You will prepare and review responses to external audits.
